Torrey did a recent interview which was highlighted by

Torrey DeVitto’s all settled into her role as Dr. Natalie Manning on NBC’s hit Chicago franchise drama from Dick Wolf, Chicago Med. She’s an integral part of the second hit spinoff from Chicago Fire. It’s set at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center and most of the action takes place in the hospital’s busy emergency department. Dr. Manning is an emergency pediatric medicine specialist and a new mother.

Beautiful Torrey, 32, is the daughter of Mary and Liberty DeVitto—he played drums for Billy Joel. Highly gifted in many things artistic, Torrey plays a serious violin, studied dance and acting and worked as a model. She’s probably best known, prior to Chicago Med, for her roles in TV’s Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries and One Tree Hill.

Her philanthropy extends to animals, especially People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS)—here’s a very recent story about her from the society’s All Animals magazine. She’s teamed up with HSUS and its Be Cruelty-Free campaign and is a doting mom to two rescue dogs, Beau and Homie.

Earlier this year, she told Glamour that if she had to join the cast of another Chicago franchise show, here’s what she’d choose: “I think Chicago P.D. because I would fare much better as a detective than I would a firefighter.”

In this video, learn more about the fabulous female actors from the Chicago franchise shows who have a book club, and about Torrey’s excellent fitness routine. She’s high on her job and on all the talented people who make Chicago Med work so well.

Watch Chicago Med on NBC Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.

Will Natalie Manning end up with Jeff Clarke or Will Halstead? What does her medical future look like? Torrey DeVitto tells all in our ‘Chicago Med’ chat.

Dr. Natalie Manning has her hands full on NBC‘s Chicago Med. While she’s still trying to save the hospital’s youngest patients, she’s caught up in a love triangle between old friend Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) and new squeeze Jeff Clarke (Jeff Hephner) – one that’s been further complicated by Will dating pathologist Nina Shore (Patti Murin).

So which guy does Natalie really want to be with? What does she see for her career in Season 2? Hidden Remote visited the set of Chicago Med recently and asked actress Torrey DeVitto to give us the dish on what’s ahead for her character – and who she’s rooting for.

Torrey told us that the biggest change for Natalie has been the weight off her shoulders. “It’s so funny,” she laughed. “When we did the table read for the first couple episodes [of Season 2], there was the ‘ice princess’ comment and then there was another comment about Natalie’s state of mind from last year. In the middle of the table read I stopped and was like, ‘Was I so miserable last year?’ And everyone was like ‘Yes!’

“I think because I was playing her, I didn’t realize what a place she was in,” she continued. “I knew it but I didn’t see it from the outside perspective. She’s definitely in a different state of mind this year. She’s dating, a little more carefree. It’s fun.”

Natalie’s biggest plot point so far in Season 2 has been her relationship with Jeff, which seems like she might be doubting it after taking a second look at Will, who’s now with Nina. So what exactly is going through her mind right now?

“I love her and Will’s friendship,” Torrey told us. “I think they have something really special. But I think Jeff came in and represents her past and I don’t think anyone that she works with or she has in her life knows her then or knows her ex.

“I think it was just very familiar and home to her so it makes sense of why she would go in that direction,” she added, “but I think her and Dr Halstead will always have something special. I just don’t think either of them know how to articulate it yet.”

So does that mean that Torrey is hoping that Natalie eventually gets back together with Will?

“I really do root for both [pairings but] at the end of the day I have to say I’m a total Manstead fan,” she admitted. “I can’t not be. I just think it’s really endearing. I think it’s really sweet and it started that way and I always get excited when they have little moments of like looking over wistfully at each other or something. I am a Manstead fan.”

The Hollywood Reporter shares the exciting news that Torrey will return as Melissa to the PLL Final Season!

The ‘Chicago Med’ star will reprise her role as Melissa in the Freeform drama’s final season.

A family reunion is in the cards for Pretty Little Liars’ final season — but it may not be a happy one.

Torrey DeVitto will reprise her role as Melissa Hastings in the Freeform drama’s last batch of episodes, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Melissa was last seen in the second half of season six as a suspect in Charlotte’s (Vanessa Ray) murder. Although her involvement wasn’t confirmed, she fled Rosewood due to alleged threats from the latest Big Bad and has not been seen since.

Melissa’s former lover Wren Kingston (Julian Morris) will also return in what executive producer Charlie Craig told THR is “part of the ultimate final twist in the final episode.” It was revealed in flashbacks that Wren and Melissa broke up because Charlotte told him about Melissa’s shady past — including when Melissa accidentally buried Bethany Young alive when she thought the body was that of Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) — and her sister, Spencer (Troian Bellisario), was also very suspicious of Melissa.

DeVitto has recurred on Pretty Little Liars since the series’ inception. The actress, who is repped by APA, Insight and Hansen Jacobson, currently stars on NBC’s Chicago Med.

Pretty Little Liars returns in April 2017 on Freeform.
